Cuddle + Kind is a new company that has an amazing product, cute and adorable hand knitted stuffed dolls. The amazing part of this new company is that for each doll purchased you purchase 10 meals for hungry children around the world through their giving partners, World Food Program USA and Children’s Hunger Fund.
The company has placed the dolls on the Indiegogo site, and they have already surpassed their goal. That alone should tell you how cute and adorable the dolls are. The dolls are a retro toy that has all the hand knitted cuddle power and none of the mass production low quality. The kindness comes into play with the ability to aid in erasing children's hunger. Who can walk away from that? Just in time for the holidays, some of the cutest dolls one can imagine. The reindeer and penguin are perfect holiday gifts for the little one in your world. Social Media for the company will keep you up to date on the progress of the Indiegogo campaign. I am one of those people that does not do makeup when I am going to be outside and hot and sweaty and it isn’t an outdoor party. Things like camping, sightseeing, fairs, etc., those do not warrant a full makeup face. I admit, I wish it did. However, I am very fair. So, to spend all day in the sun would be sheer torture afterwards for me. It just is not worth it. So, tinted sunscreen caught my eye.
We had planned on going to the Mid South Renaissance Fair, and I was all set to use the sunscreen. Then it rained. Oh, not just rained, it poured. Oh, not just poured, we had flash floods in areas! So, now what. I changed the date on when I would do the post to after the next weekend, when we hoped we could go to the Ren Fair. (Amazingly enough, it was around for two weekends!) Now, I say that I needed to do this Fair for testing the product; but, I did use it when I mowed the yard. A task for which I truly never wear makeup! After just over an hour of mowing our yard, that has no trees, my face is always red. But, since it was just an hour, I really didn’t think any of it was the sun. Hmmm, I was not as red as usual. Go figure! Now, was that because I had on tinted sunscreen, meaning the sunscreen was covering the red? Nope. After I washed my face, it still was not as red as usual. Noted, for future reference. So, I am also leery of any product that is a one size fits all for shades of makeup. Because I am not a one size fits all for makeup shades. And, my daughter is even fairer than me. In fact, when I told her to use it, she said, “NO!” She wasn’t going to walk around the Ren Fair with a brown tinted face; or worse, an orange tinted face. So, I put it on her; all around the pouting. Then I made her look in the mirror. Her demeanor changed. She is not one to put sunscreen on her face because it burns her eyes when it sweats off, and I agree with her on that! While in Las Vegas one summer, I used Arbonne’s FC5 Day Cream that has a 20 SPF. It is the only thing I have used that did not burn my eyes as I sweat it off, and it worked, no facial or neck sunburn. Oz Naturals has a good track record with me, there has not been one product I have not liked from them, in fact, featured the entire line in our Good Finds section of our magazine (http://issuu.com/yourtruecolours/docs/your_true_colours_august_2015/12) So, after a day of observing jousting, fortune tellers, pirates, Lords and Ladies, Knightings, the Queen’s Court, bagpipes, court jesters, archery and some great food and great buys, did it work? I actually laughed when I looked in the mirror after the shower (Yes, in August in Memphis and you spend the day outside from 11am – 3pm, when you get home you shower, because you are soaking wet. The joys of humidity.) I just knew that I would be burned beside my eyes where I kept wiping sweat away, or along my forehead late in the day when I finally had to wipe sweat from there with a napkin and the tint came off on the napkin. Nope. No burn. Well, that isn’t true. I did burn. At my hairline, you could exactly tell where I put the tinted sunscreen, it was a straight line. And it was there Sunday, and Monday, and it was a little less today, Tuesday. But, no burn on face, none. As for my daughter, who always burns no matter what…she used aloe lotion when she got home…but not on her face. She was not burned, either. What I really liked about this was that I didn’t feel completely ‘naked’, I felt a little bit made up in the blistering heat! And, I made it all day without one photo of me. Sorry. There was just too many other ‘characters’ who needed to have their photo taken! OZ NATURALS SPF 30 TINTED SUNSCREEN MOISTURIZER contains Octyl Methoxycinnamate & Zinc Oxide which together provide broad spectrum protection and shield skin against harmful damage caused from both UVA and UVB rays. SAFE FOR ALL SKIN TYPES, this non-irritating, paraben-free sunscreen can be applied daily on the face and body, and can be worn alone as a foundation, or under makeup> OUR NON-COMEDOGENIC, SPF30 tinted sunscreen moisturizer nourishes the skin, while also protecting the skin from the aging effects of cumulative daily UV exposure. THIS MEDIUM TINTED, moisturizing sunscreen blends well with most skin shades and evens-out skin tone, in addition to protecting skin from the sun’s harmful rays. I’ve been impressed with Healthy Directions products so far. And, their latest to send to me has not disappointed, either. The OxyRub Pain Relief Cream has menthol, emollients, and oxygenated essential oil as the active ingredients. And, amazingly, the menthol does not linger. They also say that it stops the aches and pains on contact. I didn’t see that it worked on contact, but it was very soon after (so, that is probably within the realm of ‘on contact’). It eased my aching ankles and legs that were walking fast for 30 minutes in the wrong shoes. The first night, didn’t hurt. The second night, didn’t hurt. The third night, sleep was not going to be my friend. It was late, and I wanted to have something that was quick, not ibuprofen. Then I remembered I had the OxyRub Pain Relief Cream…so, I put it to the test. I was able to get comfy and get to sleep, no aches. A couple of nights later, I did it again. A couple of nights later, once again. And, now it has been almost a week since I have had to use it. _And, yes, we did go looking for some shoes for my walking excursions. But I wasn’t impressed with anything that was in the stores we stopped in. So, until I get the right shoes, this tube of pain relief cream is on my nightstand. I do recommend it. I do like that it has essential oils. What I use most of the time for aches and pains is a specific blend of essential oil, but it does have a lingering aroma. I don’t mind it, but it does scream, “I have used a topical pain relief medicine!” That is one thing I like about the OxyRub Pain Relief Cream. If I have to go somewhere, it will be my ‘go to’ cream so that there will be no pain medicine lingering in the air! No, don’t get me wrong…there is that menthol smell, it just doesn’t hang around. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EASY536 http://www.healthydirections.com/product/oxyrub Healthy Directions is offering you, my readers, a 20% discount on your first tube of OxyRub Pain Relief Cream!
